Organized by the ONCHIPS partner Technical University of Munich, the foremost conference on quantum dot research QD2024 took place on 18-22 March 2024 in its birthplace Munich. This one-of-a-kind event has been opened by our consortium member Prof. Jonathan Finley and brought together more than 300 participants from 31 countries. Over the course of 5 days the participants discussed the cutting-edge research and applications of quantum dots. A fantastic lineup of speakers, top experts and young researchers contributed to the fully packed program featuring six plenary sessions, over seventy presentations, and 220 posters! A diversity of topics was discussed across Materials, Fundamentals and Applications. Examples include epitaxial & chemically synthesized dots, quantum coherence and energy harvesting.
As an official sponsor of QD2024, ONCHIPS has been showcased in various ways throughout the conference, including an introduction to the project’s objectives and the sponsorship of the first and runner-up poster prizes of two poster sessions. This inspiring event on advances and perspectives in the field of quantum dots assured a prominent visibility of our project to a vast audience including academic, industry, end users and widening countries representatives.
