The 4th edition of the International Workshop on Hexagonal SiGe and Related Materials will be organized by ONCHIPS at the University of Twente (UT) in Enschede, The Netherlands, on 14-15 September 2026. During this event, the UT campus will proudly put on its hexagonal colors to welcome researchers from around the world for another exciting gathering of this rapidly growing community.
This interdisciplinary workshop focuses on the properties of hexagonal silicon, SiGe, and related material systems and explores future directions for both fundamental research and technological applications. By bringing together experimental and theoretical perspectives, the workshop follows three successful previous editions held in Eindhoven (2023), Milan (2024), and Paris (2025).
The scientific program will cover materials and devices, spectroscopy / photonics and quantum properties such as defects and spins.
